The director of New York's Metropolitan Art Museum, Thomas B. Campbell, says that "Alexander McQueen's iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose mode of expression was fashion". The exhibit will be based around a hundred pieces, ranging from his first collections to his last collection, showcasing the dramatic, barroque, dreamlike style of the late designer.
